My family has started a small business, and they ask me to make them a website. I am the smartest computer person in our family, except when it comes to this type of deal. I also don’t won’t to let them down, so any help would be amazing right now. Thank you.

    if you’re asking this question I’ll assume you aren’t going to code html, flash, or anything yourself. Simplest tool for web dev is probably Microsoft’s Frontpage, putting together a website is like building a powerpoint presentation. If you want to get fancier you can use Adobe’s Dreamweaver (formerly Macromedia). Once you do that you’ll have to buy the domain name from someone like godaddy or acive-domain.com and figure out if you will host it on your server or remotely.
